Candice Faye Quallo

Candice Faye "Candy" Quallo, 65, Lapel, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 14, 1948, in Colulmbus, Indiana to Ray and Goldie (Lucas) Henderson. She graduated from Southwestern High School in 1966. Candy retired in 1997 from O-I Brockway Glass in Lapel. She was a member of the Flatrock Christian Church and enjoyed working puzzles, video games, art, reading, and she loved animals. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Edward Lee Quallo, Sr.; two children, Rachel (husband, Shane) Huber of Lapel and Lee (wife, Cynthia) Quallo of Anderson; two grandchildren, Kevin Ray and Kailey Reanne Moreland of Lapel; three sisters, Donna (husband, Dick) Helterbrand, Barbara Henderson, and Alicia Henderson all of Lapel; two brothers, Ed Henderson of Lewis Creek, and Foy (wife, Sheila) Henderson of Hope; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a dear friend, Sue VanDyne. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Larry Bigham officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
