Bryan C Atkins, 50, of Yorktown, passed away Saturday May 23, 2015 joining his father Reuben Atkins in heaven.
He spent 50 years bringing laughter into the world. Nothing came easy for him but he faced life with a smile and a grin. This attitude let him graduate from Tri-County High School in 1983.
He was always one for play; being quick with a quote from a long forgotten movie, singing a song written by his brother 20 years earlier, and giving special names for those he loved and cared for. He loved wrestling, ninja turtles, and super heroes; collecting them with joy.
Bryan brought those around him laughter, love, and memories. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his mother Carolyn Atkins; his sisters Vicki McMillan, Brenda (George) Sullivan, Debbie (Cheryl) Diggs-Hughes; his brother Bruce (Tammy) Hughes; and 7 nieces and nephews.
A special thank you for the wonderful caregivers who gave of themselves to see to Bryan’s wellbeing for many years.
Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 29, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, with visitation from Noon until time of services. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
