Brooke Chanelle Shelton, 43, of Anderson, passed away on November 18, 2023, after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Brooke was born on May 12, 1980 in Anderson to Pastor Rob Williams and Jill A. (Breeden) Williams-Nave. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1998 and then attended Ball State University. She married the love of her life, Derek Shelton, on July 14, 2001, and the two welcomed their miracle baby, Emma Kay Shelton, on December 29, 2002. She attended Faith Church, and her unwavering faith in God was an inspiration to all who knew her. Brooke was the social media director for Crop for a Cause, MS Crop for a Cause, an MS organization she was passionate about. One of Brooke’s passions in life was photography, specifically nature photography, which can be viewed on her Instagram profile, Brooke Chanelle Photography. On top of her photography skills, Brooke was also extremely artistic, she enjoyed creating beautiful pieces of jewelry. When she wasn’t creating jewelry, her and her husband, Derek, loved traveling and taking cruises. Most importantly, Brooke loved her family, especially her daughter Emma, who was her pride and joy. This world will be a much darker place without Brooke in it.
Brooke will be dearly missed by her husband, Derek; daughter, Emma Shelton; mother, Jill Williams-Nave; sister, Jasmine (Mike) Carpenter; step-mother, Cindy (Rob) McClure; step-brothers, Brian (Yolanda) Wedekind and Christopher (Shannon) Wedekind; nieces and nephews, Camryn (Tristan) Hunt, Cade Carpenter, Chloe Carpenter, Savannah Shelton, Shaylee Shelton, Camden Shelton, Eduardo Wedekind, Alexander Wedekind, Gaven Wedekind, Ethan Wedekind, Dylan Wedekind, and Devyn Wedekind; mother and father-in-law, Ona and Tim Shelton; brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Shannon Shelton; grandmother, Patricia Breeden; and furbaby, Benny.
She is preceded in death by her father, Pastor Rob Williams; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Joyce Williams; maternal grandfather, Bill Breeden; maternal grandmother, Jane McNeal; her GG, Jean Neal; and her loyal pet companion, Baby J.
The visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, November 24, 2023, at Faith Church Assembly of God, 2817 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM at the church. Pastor Carl Lamb will be officiating. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Brooke’s name may be gifted to The Ehlers-Danlos (EDS) Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Association.
