Brian Kent Colip

Brian K. Colip, 50, New Palestine, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born on July 26, 1961, in Noblesville, Indiana to Donald and Ann (Livingston) Colip. He graduated from Lapel High School in 1979. Brian retired in 2011 from the Iron Workers Union local 22 in Indianapolis. He attended Post Road Christian Church in Indianapolis. He is survived by his wife, Kirsten Colip; two children, James D. (wife, Lisa) Colip of Bargersville and Linda G. Colip (fiance, Ryan Slater) of Indianapolis; two step-children, Brandon M. and Logan C. Beeler both of New Palestine; his mother, Ann Colip of Lapel; two sisters, Sharon Ott of Anderson and Karen Scott of New Hope, AL; and three grandchildren, Amiyah, Cohen, and Jalen. He was preceded in death by his father Donald. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 9, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel at a later date. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association or the Iron Workers Foundation
