Our Gentle Son; Brenden M. Mudd, too whom, we are well pleased! Brenden M. Mudd born in Anderson, Indiana, died peacefully from a natural manner of death and unknown causes on January 11, 2021 at the age of 27. Brenden practiced so many of the virtues of what a good man should be. He was kind, patient, loyal, and honest and acted with integrity. He was true to himself and his authenticity inspired others to do the same. His endearing relationship and bond with his siblings was unbreakable. Brenden graduated from Lapel High School with honors in 2012 and received his BS in Accounting from Purdue University in 2016. He lived in Fishers, Indiana and was currently employed as a Staff Accountant with Gannett/USA Today Network. His strongest interest and enjoyment came from gaming at an elite level. He was a proud teammate with Purdue University Gamers Group, reaching Sweet 16 amongst collegiate schools in DotA. At a tournament in Las Vegas, his Super Smash Bros match was streamed with over 25,000 viewers and drawing much praise for his tactics from the announcers, even as the underdog opponent. Brenden is survived by his father, Leon Mudd and mother, Christy Mudd (John Branson); siblings, Baylor Mudd and Bridget Mudd; grandparents, Larry and Brenda Hovermale; aunt, Louise A. Mudd of Layton, UT; uncle, Larry A. (Kathi) Mudd of Chesterton, IN; uncle, Brian Hovermale; uncle, Casey (Misty) Hovermale; and cousins, Jesse Mudd, David Mudd, Greyson Hovermale and Leighton Hovermale. Brenden was proceeded in death by his sister, (stillborn infant) Reagan; and grandparents, Felix and Rita Mudd. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 15, 2021 beginning at 9am until 2pm at St. Francis of Assisi, Muncie, IN. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2pm with the Rev. Father Robert Williams officiating. Burial will be following at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, IN. Brenden’s unforeseen passing has left an empty void for so many, especially his gaming friends!
