Brenda Welker

Brenda Welker, 82, passed away on December 16th, 2023, from unexpected complications due to health conditions. She was born on August 6, 1941, to parents, G. Everett Ebbertt and Ercel (Abernathy) Welker. Brenda graduated from Anderson High School in 1959.

Brenda was known by her family as the name “Nana”. Brenda was a pillar member of her community, volunteering for 20+ years, retiring from Guide Lamp being one of the first female supervisors. Brenda always had a great sense of humor no matter the circumstances dealt.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Ercel Abernathy Ebbertt Welker; her father, G. Everett Ebbertt; her husband, H. Douglas Welker; her sister, LaFrenda Fitzgerald. Brenda is survived by her brother, Joel Ebbertt; her daughter, Marla Cole; her grandchildren, Kayla, Blake, and Evan Cole; and her great granddaughter, Briella.

The memorial gathering will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Services have been entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
