Brenda Holycross

Brenda Holycross, 51, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at her home following a period of declining health. She was born on August 22, 1960, in Anderson, Indiana to Frank and Donna (Stanley) Dwiggins. She graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1978. Brenda was formerly a manager for Frisch's in Anderson and Bloomington. She was a great care-giver to anyone in need and enjoyed her rescue work with animals. She was a member of the Pendleton Church of God where she was in charge of bereavement functions for several years. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Holycross; her mother, Donna L. Dwiggins of Markleville; one sister, Laura Sexton of Chesterfield; two brothers, Brian (wife, Tammy) Dwiggins of Anderson and Eric (wife, Tearle) Dwiggins of Middletown; her mother-in-law, Jo Ann Holycross of Lapel; and several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and pets. She was preceded in death by her father. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 16, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Trey Oldham officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
