Bonnie K. Wilson

Bonnie K. Wilson, 88, of Anderson, passed away December 14, 2016 at Rawlins House in Pendleton following an extended illness. She was born July 9, 1928 in Barberton, OH, the daughter of the late Thomas Brent and Flora Lee (Vaughn) Garrett. As a young woman she accepted Christ as her Saviour and attended the Akron Baptist Temple until her marriage to Archie T. Wilson on October 11, 1952. Shortly thereafter, the couple moved to Anderson where she attended church with her husband and children. She last attended the First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed collecting Hallmark ornaments, salt & pepper shakers, cookbooks and memorabilia of her favorite cowboy, Gene Autry. She also enjoyed attending Cowboy festivals. Bonnie is survived by her children, Beverly Lynne Wilson, Deborah Faye Wilson, John T. (Margie) Wilson, all of Anderson, and Archie David (Wendy) Wilson of Chagrin Falls, OH; grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth Wilson, Grant Montgomery Wilson, Gregory John Wilson, Natalie J. Raper, Valerie J. (Josh) Howard and Hilary J. Raper; great-grandchildren, Myla Mae Howard and Greta Grace Howard; sister, Linda “Janie” Gesaman of Canal Fulton, OH; brother, Robert Garrett of Cottageville, SC; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie T. Wilson; granddaughter, Rebecca Ann Wilson; sister, Mary Lou Smith; brothers, Clarence Garrett, Thomas “Buckey” Garrett, Glen “Junior” Garrett; and an infant brother and infant sister. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory officiated by Rev. Gary Cable. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
