Bonnie Edna Bookout

Bonnie Edna Bookout, 88, of Anderson passed away, Oct. 15, 2015, at the Alexandria Care Center following an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Hardy, Arkansas, the daughter of Ed and Winnie (Brightwell) Sauls and has lived in the Anderson area since 1945.
Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of the Columbus Avenue Church of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Terry ( Linda) Bookout of Anderson, and Edward (Ginger) Bookout of Jasper; nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, James Sauls; sister-in-law, Silvia Sauls, both of Jonesboro Ark.; brother and sister-in-law, Cuby and Opal Bookout of Ferguson, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Bookout, in 2001, and three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service and & Crematory, 515 East 53rd St. Anderson with Gary Meeker officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
