Ovadean Bertram, 89, of Anderson, passed away on February 7, 2020 at Community Hospital, Anderson with her loving daughters at her side. She was born on October 15, 1930 in Albany, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Clinton County High School. She met and married Vance Bertram in 1952. They planted, gathered and sold a tobacco crop, then moved to Indianapolis for employment. Ovadean worked at P.R. Mallory’s Envelope Co., RCA, and retired from Western Electric where she was an active member in the Pioneer Club. Ovadean took pleasure in outdoor activities such as gardening and watching wildlife from her back porch. She loved being at her home of 61 years in Anderson, and always had an open door to family, friends, neighbors and watching TV shows such as Judge Judy, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy nightly. She is survived by her loving daughters, Patricia Clevenger and Joanne Brown; grandchildren whom she adored, Chad (Chrissy) Clevenger, Nicole Clevenger, Jeremiah Clevenger; great grandchildren, Christopher Clevenger, Jonah Clevenger; sisters, Carlene (Dave) Rust, Jo Marlow; brother, Kenneth Marlow and several nieces and nephews. Ovadean was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Maggie Marlow; husband, Vance Bertram; siblings, William Marlow, Beulah Fizer, Lucille Barns, Irene Marlow, Pearl May Marlow, and grandson, Jacob Clevenger. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN. Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Talbott Funeral Home, 1106 N. Cross St., Albany, KY 42602 with visitation from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Final resting place will be beside her husband at Cartright Cemetery, Albany, KY.
