Billie Max Fulton

Billie Max Fulton, 86, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at IU Health Saxony in Fishers following a brief illness. He was born on July 21, 1926, in Anderson, Indiana to Mark and Bonnie (Crosley) Fulton. He graduated from Noblesville High School and served in the U. S. Marine Corps Fourth Division in the South Pacific islands during WWII. Billie retired in 1987 from the former Guide Lamp division of General Motors after 37 years of employment. He was a very active member of the Perkinsville Community Church where he held many positions through the years including initiating the church scholarship program. He was a member of the Lapel American Legion Post 212; he was a 50 year member of the Noblesville Masonic Lodge; and he was a member of the U. A. W. Local 663. He loved playing euchre, fishing, mushroom hunting, flower gardening but especially he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Emma Lou (Green) Fulton; two children, Karla (husband, Steve) Telfer-Gentry of Anderson and Mark (wife, Kathy) Fulton of Anderson; five grandchildren, Kristen (husband, Justin) Burnau of North Carolina, Matthew (wife, Allison) Telfer of Anderson, Kelsi Fulton of Nashville, TN, Grant (wife, Rachel) Fulton of South Bend, Mitch Fulton of Anderson; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Mark Aleshire officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel where the Lapel American Legion Post will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, April 26, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Perkinsville Community Church Scholarship Fund, 2783 North Washington Street, Anderson, Indiana 46011 or Mission Haiti Medical, Inc., 3389 Alexandria Pike, Anderson, Indiana 46012.
