Ms. Billie Joanne Bell

Billie JoAnne Bell, 90, passed away peacefully at her residence with her daughter Debi, by her side, on Friday, November 30, 2018. She was born October 8, 1928, in Shirley and graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1946. Billie worked as a cashier for Standard Grocery, then at Marsh, where she retired after 37 years. She loved all of her Marsh customers as much as they loved her. Billie is survived by her children, Michael (Sharon) Bell, Cynthia (Richard Kennard) Revis, Connie (Phil) Parsons, and Debi (Jay) Dishman; sisters, Carolyn Jean (Wendell) Williams & Lisa (Steve) Smith; grandchildren, Tisha (Mike) France, Tina (Tony) Holden, Sherri (Randy) Lyons, Greg Unger, Christi (Randy) Kinsey, Shane Dishman, & Dustin (Wendy) Dishman; several great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful protector, Zorro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll “Dean” Bell; father, Benjamin Lee Goudy; mother & stepfather, Delores (Sheets) & Paul Chance. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hancock Regional Hospice and the caretakers who assisted Billie over the last several years.
