Beverly Sue Husted

Beverly Sue "Susie" Husted, 72, of Blackwater, VA, passed away August 6, 2014, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN following an extended illness. She was born on December 15, 1941, in Noblesville, Indiana to William and Mary (Line) Insko. She graduated from Lapel High School. Susie had worked as a bartender at the Lapel Eagles and Woodys. She is survived by two children, Terri Gibson and Chad Husted both of Blackwater, VA; three grandchildren, Audrianna Jennings, Jeffrey Jennings, and Hayley Husted; three great-grandchildren, Kayley Fansler, BryLeigh Jennings, Brooklyn Jennings; three brothers, Daniel Insko of Lapel, Phillip Insko of New Mexico, and William Insko of Idaho; one sister, Judith Thorp; and a special friend and care-giver, Ricky Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 41 years, William Husted; one grandson, Trey Husted; one sister, Rebecca Forrer; and her best friend for 47 years Faye Owens. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel with Rev. Neal Brown officiating and burial will follow. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
