Mrs. Beulah M. Flatford-Garrett

April 23, 1931 — February 6, 2021

Beulah M. Flatford-Garrett, 89, went home to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on February 6, 2021. She was born in Maynardville, Tennessee on April 23, 1931 to the late Elmer & Etter (Walker) Cooper. She graduated from Horace Maynard High School. Beulah married Wardell Flatford and were together for 42 years until his passing. She then married the second love of her life, Reverend Raymond Garrett in 2006. Beulah was a member of Freedom United Baptist Church in Yorktown. She worked in various retail stores in Anderson while being a great mother and housewife. She loved to sew and that showed in all of her handmade quilts she made over the years. Beulah was a wonderful cook, humorous in her own way, and a very strong woman. She fought many health battles but always prevailed due to the love of her family and her conviction in the Lord. She is survived by her husband, Reverend Raymond Garrett; children, Roy “Jim” (wife, Becky) Flatford of Anderson, Peggy Ann Stone of Columbia, KY, Harold (wife, Tina) Flatford of Maynardville, TN, & Yolanda Kay (husband, Randy) Drennen of Anderson; stepchildren, Pam (husband, Eddie) Edds, Etta (husband, Lloyd) Terry, Barb (husband, Archie) Prince, & Della (husband, Kurt) Youkey; sisters, Ruby Berry, Mildred Beason, Rozella Wyrick, & Robin Hale; 42 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Robert Schmidt; son-in-law, Lonnie Stone; siblings, Toby Cooper, ER Cooper, Georgie Snoderly, Betty Farris, & Pauline Berry; brothers & sisters-in-law, Ollie Jo Slaven, Johnny Flatford, Neva Sexton, Orpha Patton, Luke Flatford, Sam Flatford, & Conda Flatford. Private services are entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Due to recent COVID-19 mandates, a limited number of guests are allowed entry at a time, masks are required, and social distancing must be practiced.
