Betty Schmitt

Betty D. Schmitt, 79, of Pendleton, passed away September 10, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.

She was born in Anderson on October 8, 1935 to Rollie and Cathern (Hayden) Schaefer. She was a homemaker and had resided in Pendleton all of her life.

Betty, better known as “Ma”, enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and attending their sporting events as their #1 fan.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Ed Hubble; her son-in-law, Alan Runyan; grandchildren, Jay Hubble, Jamie Hubble, Kelsey Hubble, Tyler Hubble, Jaylee Hubble, Troy Harmon and Megan Runyan; great grandchildren, Amber Harmon, Makayia Harless, Ryder Harless; and brother, Jay (Sheila) Schaefer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollie and Cathern Schaefer; husband, Charles Schmitt; daughter, Kathy Runyan and great grandson, Wesley Weaver Harmon; and sister, Debbie Rock.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ryan Schaefer officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pendleton Emergency Ambulance Fund.
