Betty Kaiser, 87, Lapel, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014, at her home. She was born on September 28, 1927, in Westfield, Indiana to Loral and Ruth (Shugart) Davis. Betty had worked at the former Graham's Department Store in Lapel and also for Wade's Upholstery. She was an accomplished violinist and seamstress and was a member of a card club and bowling league in Lapel. She is survived by three daughters, Connie (husband, Ronnie) Wyant, Mickey (husband, Steve) Lowe both of Lapel, and Susan (husband, Dan) Krotz of Berryville, AK; six grandchildren, Tammy and Scott Hersberger, Jim and Jacquie Wyant, Bill and Laura McGuire, Jennifer Lowe and Kenny, Stephanie Lowe and Josh, and Mary Krotz; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Harry Conrad Kaiser, and a brother, Bob Davis. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Monday, October 27, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Mr. Stanton Renner officiating. Burial will follow in Zimmer Cemetery, Noblesville. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation, 302 West Main Street, Avon, CT 06001.
