Betty Jo Minkey

Betty Jo Minkey, 82, of Anderson, passed away on December 28, 2020 at Community Hospital Anderson. She was born on March 29, 1938 in Anderson to the late Walter and Frances (Vanhorn) Lightfoot. Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping, dining out and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty always put others first. She had a way of making people feel good about themselves. She is survived by her sons, Terry (Stacy) Minkey of Anderson, James (Kia) Minkey of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jessica Minkey, Jordan (Molly) Minkey, Grant (Breanne) Minkey; eight great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Sharon) Lightfoot; brother in-law, Albert Rodeman and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Frances Lightfoot; husband, Wallace Minkey; daughter, Brenda Sue Minkey; and sisters, Suzie Hollingsworth and Lois Rodeman. Due to the COVID virus, cremation will take place. A gathering of family and friends will take place at a later date.
