Betty I. Mingle

Betty I. (Luellen) Mingle, 95, of Pendleton, passed away October 20, 2016 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers.She was born April 26, 1921 in Mooreland, Indiana to the late Milton and Daisy (Dennis) Luellen and was a Pendleton resident most of her life.Betty was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church and Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, Mu Chapter both of Pendleton. She was an avid bridge player. Betty loved to travel and was always on the go.Survivors include her children, Judy Geoffrey, Linda (Gene) Burtron, Douglas Mingle, Deborah (Phil) Hagan and Jennifer (Virgil) Mabrey; grandchildren, Daphne (Larry) Maxwell, J.D. Pugh, Diana Pugh, Denise Slone, David Mingle, Heather Mingle, Darian Mingle, Courtney Clark, Kirbie Lindzy, Brooke Castor, Carrie (D.J.) Barton and Jill Schellenberger; and many great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Dr. Hugh F. Mingle, DVM; and grandchildren, Joseph Castor and Darcie Pugh.Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Dr. Doug Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton.Visitation from 12 to 2 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Lahm Chapel.Memorial contributions may be made to the South Madison Community Foundation, 233 S.
