Betty E. Denham, 92, Noblesville, passed away Monday, October 19, 2015, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville following an extended illness. She was born on October 5, 1923, in Noblesville, Indiana to Charles and Ruth (Wainscott) Cecil. Betty had been employed at Brockway Glass in Lapel for many years. She was a member of the Central Indiana Bluegrass Association and she loved to shop at rummage sales. She is survived by two children, Ronald (wife, Judy) Gentry of Quincy, and Pam (Gentry) Hobbs, Noblesville; three step-children, Lynette Lawson of Indianapolis, Jackie Denham of Indianapolis, and Charlie Denham of Noblesville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert E. Gentry; her second husband, Harold J. "Cowboy" Denham; one son, Robert Gentry; a daughter, Sandra K. Gentry; one step-son, Steven Denham; and two brothers, Boots and Gerald Cecil. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel where burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
