Betty E. Brown

Betty E. Brown, 91, of Anderson, passed away on June 19, 2023. Betty was born on February 27, 1932 in Anderson to the late William and Daisy (Gaines) Moran. Betty married her loving husband, Raymond “Brownie” Brown, before his passing in 1990. Betty had worked for the Herald Bulletin in the classified section for a few years. But her proudest accomplishment was working as an oral surgery assistant for Dr. Remley, Dr. Bigelow, and Dr. Mohler. Betty was an avid Bingo and Poker player. She especially loved Sunday dinners and games of “31” that were played with her family.

Betty will be dearly missed by her son, Dustin (Jeannette) Brown; daughter, Debbie (Garry) McCord; grandchildren, Mason (JoAnna) McCord, Mia Woodward, Joel Smith, Jacob (Emily) Smith, and Jay (Amanda) Smith; several great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Barbara) Moran; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; son, Denny Brown; grandson-in-law, Chris Woodward; and brothers, William (Mona) Moran and Ronnie Moran.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Betty’s Envive Nursing Home “family” who treated her with great care during her time there.

The graveside ceremony for Betty will be on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Anderson Memorial Park, 6805 Doctor M.L.K. Jr Blvd., Anderson, IN 46013. The family has asked that you dress casually.
