Bette J. Flanders

Bette J. Flanders, 76, of rural Arcadia, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at their family farm, following an extended illness.She was born on February 23, 1943, in Anderson, Indiana to George Seward and Martha (Maly) Seward .Bette was graduated from Middletown High School and beauty school.She retired after fifty years owning and operating the Hairloom beauty shop in Anderson, she previously worked at several shops in Middletown and Anderson .Bette was a member of the Wesley Free Methodist Church where she was very active. She was also a Past Worthy Matron of the Middletown Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband of 41 years John Flanders; two daughters, Desiree (Chris) Forster, Kristian Reasoner; a brother, Bruce (Peggy) Seward; two sisters, Dianna (Marc) Bullock, Marjorie Seward; grandchildren, Kelsey (Seth) Buck, Tyler (fiance Michelle Fites) Pugsley, Cassidy Reasoner; step-children, Kristi (Martin) Caples, Shari (Jack Burton) Flanders; step-grandchildren, Kelin (Jason) Sarber, Lauren (Dan) Gross, Arik (Jill) Flanders, Monica (Tim) Keyes, Travis (Kristy) Caples, Heather Caples, and Kiara (Shawn) Kuenzler; She was also survived by many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. .Bette was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Monte Flanders and step-grandson, Kai Flanders..A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Wesley Free Methodist Church, 3017 W. 8th St., Anderson, Indiana with Pastor Blake Chenoweth officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Fishers, IN..Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Wesley Free Methodist Church, 3017 W. 8th St., Anderson, IN.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.Online condolences: www.hersbergerfuneralhome.com
