Bernice Hoover

Bernice Hoover, 97, Noblesville, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at her residence.
She was born on September 19, 1910, in Madison County, Indiana to Albert and Maude (Griffee) Cunningham.
Bernice retired in 1973 from Indiana Bell after 23 years of employment.
She was a member of the Clarksville Christian Church, the former Lapel Order of Eastern Star Chapter 457, East Wayne Extension Homemakers, and Telephone Pioneers
She is survived by seven grandchildren, Brian (wife, Lisa) Hoover of Fishers, Dawn (husband, John) Phillips of Beech Grove, Deanna Hoover Boulder, CO, Steve (wife, Kathelene) Keller and Vicki Keller of Las Cruces, NM, Debbie Andrews of Austin, TX, and Lori Pannehill of Lodi, CA; one sister, Ruth Ann Huntsinger of Alexandria; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Raymond Hoover; a son, Robert Hoover; and a daughter, Verta Mae Schluter.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Steve Fair officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, August 29, 2008, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
