Beatrice Hosier, 89, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2017 at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne where she resided for the last 2 years. She led a fairly active life including an offsite Christmas visit with family in December 2016 filled with love and laughter and surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bea is survived by daughters Angela (Mike) Armstrong and Claudia (Brad) Wright and special life-long friend of the family Marge Martin. Grandchildren Laura (Tom) Barker, Mike Earl Armstrong, Phil (Darla) Hosier, Josh Rippy, Stacy Livingston and George Armstrong. Bea has 9 great grandchildren and 2 great greats. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Hosier, son Timothy Hosier, and grandson Daniel Livingston. Additionally, Bea has many nieces and nephews which were dear to her. Family was everything! Born on January 1, 1928 to Clyde and Mamie (Harless) Musick, Bea was preceded in death by her 8 siblings. Bea attended Anderson High School but left to help support her family. She proudly received her GED diploma in Florida at the age of 65. She was primarily employed in the food services industry including manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Elwood and Regional Manager for KFC in Florida in the 1970’s, operating Bea’s Family Restaurant in Alexandria in 1980’s. After moving to Mt. Vernon, Illinois in 2001 she was employed by food services at Good Samaritan Hospital. Retiring at age 74 she continued for several years to volunteer at the hospital. Bea also was a home health aide for a period of years. Bea loved to travel with friends and family. She was always ready for a good time and most often provided the entertainment! Known fondly as Aunt Bea or Nanny by all, Bea will be missed. Services will be held at Brown-Butz-Deidring Funeral Service & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana on Saturday, March 18 at 1 p.m. with burial immediately following at Neese Cemetery, Frankton Indiana. Visitation will be for the 2 hours preceding the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Jay-Randolph Developmental Services, 901 E. Water Street, Portland, Indiana, 47371, caregivers and operators of group home where Bea’s beloved granddaughter Stacy Livingston resides.
