Barbara Schuler

Barbara "Barbie" Schuler, 66, Anderson, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012, at her home following an extended illness. She was born on October 29, 1945, in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Felix and Regina (Nowicki) Dongvillo. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Larry Schuler; four children, Jaemala (husband, Matt) Smith of Greenwood, Stasia (husband, Chris) Davis of Noblesville, Matt Schuler of Anderson, and Eric Schuler of Anderson; three grandchildren, Alesea Fritz, Parker and Jaxson Davis; her mother, Regina (Nowicki) Dongvillo of St. Joseph, MI; two brothers, Robert (wife, Ruth) Dongvillo of St. Joseph, MI, and David (wife, Darlene) Dongvillo of Whitehall, MI. She was preceded in death by her father. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard Parish in Benton Harbor, MI and visitation will be at Starks and Menchinger Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MI. Local visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Monday, September 10, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, or the Lapel Fellowship of Christian Athletes, c/o Lapel High School, 1850 South 900 West, Lapel, Indiana 46051.
