Barbara R. Hensley

Barbara R. Hensley, 75, Lapel, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended illness.
She was born on August 7, 1931, in Hancock County, Indiana to Ralph and Thelma (Martin) Kincade. She was employed for many years by Woolworth and Woolco as a personnel manager.
She was a wonderful seamstress who made many bridesmaid's dresses, her daughter's wedding dress. She also loved to knit, crochet, quilt as well as travel.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Luther Hensley; three children, Eric (wife, Vickie) Hensley of Anderson, Cheryl Hensley, and Christina Brooks both of Pendleton; three grandchildren, Terry (wife, Sangita) Hensley of Coral Springs, FL, Jaime (wife, Liz) Hensley, and Jordan Haymaker both of Pendleton; two great grandchildren, Ashley and Chance Hensley; and six brothers and sisters, Betty Goff of Fortville, Dolly Wilson of Ingalls, Dennis Kincade of Plymouth, David Kincade of Fortville, Bradley Kincade of Fortville, and Dale Kincade of Russell Springs, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Greg Hensley; two brothers, Byron "Bud" Kincade, and Don Kincade; and a son-in-law, Rod Brooks.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Dawn Cuthbert officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Friends may call from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel.
