Barbara L. Ellis

Barbara L. Ellis, 87, of Carthage, Texas and formerly of Anderson, passed away January 14, 2018 at the East Texas Medical Center in Carthage, Texas. She was born on August 17, 1930 in Elwood to the late Harold and Agnes Shaw and lived most of her life in Anderson. She retired from Delco-Remy in the accounting department after more than 30 years of service. Barbara was a faithful member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Miller of Gary, Texas; three grandchildren, Kimberly Cooper, Carrie Grubbs and Jeff Ellis; six great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Jack Shaffner and a niece and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ellis; two sons, Brian Ellis and Greg Ellis; sister, Joyce Shaffner and brother, Jack Shaw and sister-in-law, Carolyn Shaw. Graveside services and burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Roads United Methodist Church. .
