Barbara A. Austin

Barbara A. Austin, 76, Anderson, passed away February 21, 2018, at Community Northview Care Center. She was born December 12, 1941 in Muncie, the daughter of Leo and Pearl (Stephenson) Lamb and lived in the area her entire life. Barbara married Frank Austin on July 10, 1960 and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2017. She was a member of the Degree of Pocahontas 420, the Ladies Auxiliaries of VFW Post 260, AMVETS 692 and American Legion Post 408. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Judy) Austin, Kelly (Laura) Austin and Vikki (Leroy) George; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to Frank, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debbie Knight; son Jonnie Austin; and brother, Arthur Lamb. Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Rick Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Walk Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
