Art Kramer, 57, Anderson, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended illness. He was born on January 10, 1955, in Elwood, Indiana to Alfred and Wilda (Webb) Kramer. Art was really interested in electricity and he set up a lot of country stars at the Tipton County Pork Festival. He really loved Flynville Train, the Kentucky Headhunters, and Dr. Hook. Art also drove a wrecker for Jerry Haywood, who Art called "Dad", especially during snow time. He is survived by one sister, Nilah "Kay" McDavid of Anderson, one brother, Kenny Kramer of Perkinsville; one nephew, BJ "Bob" Kramer (friend, Becky) of Anderson; an aunt, Marge Kramer (husband, Paul) Dial of Atlanta; three cousins Teresa Dial of Atlanta, Edna Kramer Frawley of Orlando, FL, and Deanna Jo Kramer Snyder of Tennessee; several other cousins; his best friend, Charlie (wife, Glenda) Watkins of Elwood; and Sharon (Oak) Greene of Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephews, Jack McDavid and Butch Hand. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Chaplain George Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Carey Cemetery, in Noblesville. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, P. O. Box 427, Lapel, Indiana 46051-0427.
