Annalue Johnson

Annalue (Garner) Johnson, 83, Springfield, MO, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019.
She was born on January 21, 1936, in Middletown to Harold and Hessell (Luellen) Garner.Annalue was a member of New Horizons Methodist Church in Anderson and a long-time member of the Fortville Methodist Church prior to moving to Anderson. She worked several years as a Paralegal secretary in Fortville and later as a secretary for Anderson Public Schools. She enjoyed playing the organ, painting, crocheting and was very active in the Fortville Methodist Church. She was a devoted, loving mother, spending most of her time taking care of her family. She was quick to lend a helping hand when needed. Known affectionately as Dandy to her family and friends. She was a vibrant person who carried joy and laughter everywhere she went.Annalue is survived by her son, Todd (Laura) Johnson of Ozark, Missouri; two grandchildren, Alex Marie Johnson and Jacob (Valerie) Johnson all of Ozark, Missouri; one brother, Ron Ridgeway; her dear friend Diana Males; nephew, Greg Ellis; niece, Barbara (Steve) Ellis-Harney; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.She was preceded in death by a son, Jon Scott Johnson; a sister, Marjorie Sue Snideman; and her former husband, Walter Johnson.A celebration of Annalues life will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 25, 2019, at New Horizon United Methodist Church, 611 East 53rd Street, Anderson with Pastor Brad Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Friday at the church.
