Annabelle Oleksy, 93, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, peacefully at her home.
She was born on April 29, 1918, in Lapel, Indiana to Ward and Edith (Huffman) Shetterly, Sr.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1936.
Annabelle retired from the Lapel school cafeteria after 28 years of employment.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and the Nameless Bridge Club
She is survived by two children, John Oleksy of Gainsville, FL, and Julie (husband, Dave) Hight of Noblesville; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Norma Forrer of Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Joseph Oleksy; two sons, Joe Oleksy and Mike Oleksy; and one brother, Ward Shetterly, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 5:30 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with her son-in-law, Mr. Dave Hight officiating. Private burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or Heritage Christian School, The HOPE Scholarship Fund, 6401 East 75th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250.
