Annabelle Conrad, 97, passed away on February 19, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Anderson, Indiana. She was born on August 10, 1922 in Kennard, and graduated from Kennard High School in 1940. She was an employee of Delco Remy of Anderson for 27 years. She was a member of the Lady Elks, Pink Ladies of Alexandria, Community Hospital Volunteer, and the Delco Remy Travel Club. She attended Whetstone Christian Church. She is survived by her daughter Shelly (Kim) Light of Little Rock, Arkansas; a niece Carol (Allen) Jones; of Michigan City, grandson Adam (Jess) and great-granddaughters Julia and Agnes Light of Lake Oswego, OR, grandson Jonathan Light of Seymour. Also, grand-niece Lisa (Matt) Jones; and great-nephews Owen and Ross Jones all of Michigan City. She was preceded in death by her husband George Conrad, her parents Everett and Della M (Dudley) Lockridge of Kennard; brother Elbert (Mary) Lockridge of Michigan City; and brother Carl Lockridge of Henry County. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Brown–Butz–Diedring Funeral Home in Anderson. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with services starting at 12:00 pm. Immediately following services, she will be interred next to her husband George, at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to acknowledge the great care provided by the hospice team, including, Joann, LeeAnn, and Candy. Also, those who helped care for Annabelle at home, Terri Smith, Terri Vaughn, and Heather Nunley. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Whetstone Church.
