Anna Marie Filbrun

Anna Marie Filbrun, 92, of Lapel, Indiana, passed away February 28, 2019 at her residence following an extended illness.She was born May 13, 1926 in Wirtz, Virginia, the daughter of Dee and Lydia Layman.As a homemaker she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. As a Christian she was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church.She is survived by her children, Audry Rood, Leona (Jay) Fetters, Larry (Melinda) Filbrun, Terry (Elizabeth) Filbrun and Nova (Mark) Filbrun-Abell; and several grand-, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Filbrun; parents; grandchildren, Marci Garner and Bradley Filbrun; great-grandson, Kade Kirby; and three brothers and four sisters.Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the home brethren officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Pendleton.Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Anderson Hospital Hospice.
