Anna L. Carpenter

Anna L. Carpenter, 82, Anderson, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008, at the Extended Care Unit of Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.
She was born on December 16, 1925, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Michael and Mary (Halil) Haboush.
Anna had worked many years at the former Ayr-Way stores and retired from Target.
She was a member of the Saint Josephs Catholic Church in Elwood.
She is survived by three children, Sandra Kay (husband, Morris) Parker of Little River, SC, John M. Carpenter of Indianapolis, and Beth (husband, Leroy) Barbee of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Daryl Yore, Eric London, Morris Parker, Jr., Kyle Carpenter, Kevin Carpenter, Travis Barbee, and Cierra Barbee; and four great-grandchildren, Arthur Yore, III, Justin Yore, Emma Yore, and Addisyn Barbee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack I. Carpenter.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Noel Merrick officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
