Anna E. Woods

Anna E. Woods, 98, Lapel, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Harbour Manor Health and Living Community in Noblesville following a period of declining health.
She was born on July 24, 1913, in Madison County, Indiana to George and Charity (Nicholson) Woods.
She graduated from Lapel High School in 1931.
Anna retired from the former State Bank of Lapel as a Vice President after 50 years of employment.
She was a member of Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was dedicated to the service of God, her family, and her friends, always giving of her time, her talents, and her resources without complaint. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by a niece, Betty (husband, Ernest) Presser of Peoria, IL; a nephew, Dennis (wife, Susan) Wiseman of Conway, SC. Also surviving are her great-nephews, David (wife, Jennifer) Presser, Matthew (wife, Sarah) Wiseman, and Andrew Wiseman; a great-niece, Susan (husband, Keith) Presser Nachtigall; three great-great-nephews, Carson and Devlin Wiseman and Jacob Presser; and two great-great-nieces, Alexis and Bailey Wiseman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Lillian, Lois, Ruby, and Mary; and one brother, Freeman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Steve Holdzkom officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, August 22, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
