Anita Louise Bankson

Anita Louise Bankson, 62, of Markleville, passed away on November 27, 2019 at Community North Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born on October 11, 1957 in Anderson to the late George William and Frances (Dunlavy) Shuck. Anita attended Pendleton Heights High School. She was currently employed at Speedway Café in Pendleton, Indiana. She helped with the North Christian Church Food Pantry. She loved gardening, kayaking, water skiing, fishing, bonfires, cookouts, motorcycles, cars, and most importantly, her family. Anita is survived by her children, Shelly Bankson of Muncie and Jessica (Bankson) Summers of Markleville, from her prior marriage to Imon Bankson; grandchildren, Trevon Luke, Airiana Summers; siblings, Bradford Shuck of Anderson, Cheryl (Bill) Gordon of Keithville, Louisiana; nieces and nephews, Randi Doerr, Alex Shuck, Kevin Cart, Richana Vailes, and Richard Townsend. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor John Hackney officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the North Christian Church Food Pantry in Markleville.
