She later moved to Anderson, living with an aunt, and worked at Linders Bakery. In 1944 she went to work at Delco Remy and retired with 35 years service. She was a member of Union 662. After retiring and missing her work friends she decided to start getting groups together. She got together with several groups monthly and they shared memories and retirement stories. In 2003 she joined the Glamorous Gadabout Red Hats. She enjoyed attending Friday Club, playing euchre and being an avid IU, Pacers and Colts fan. She enjoyed going antiquing with her daughter and would travel throughout Indiana and surrounding states.More than anything, though, she enjoyed being a friend to many. She had many good friends over the years; she played cards, went shopping and out to eat with them. She loved to send cards and often included inspirational cards that she colored. Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers John, James, Frank, George, and Leo Kettenring, sister Clara Mae Kettenring Harpole and the love of her life, her husband, Clyde Noel. They were married only 20 short years before he went home to heaven.
