Allene Humphrey

Allene Humphrey, 84, Paoli, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012, at her daughter's home following and extended illness. She was born on December 29, 1927, in Lancaster, Kentucky to William and Minerva (Lamb) Crank. She was a member of the Blue Springs Church of God in Strawberry Plains, TN. She is survived by nine children, Juanita Brummitt of Paoli, Carol (husband, Sherman) Bullard of Paoli, Joetta (husband, Larry) Harper of Indianapolis, Thomas (wife, Norma) Humphrey of Bloomington, Lanny (wife, Karen) Humphrey of Indianapolis, Wanda (husband, Duane) Land of Paoli, Rita (husabnd, Ronnie) Callahan of Paoli, Darryl (wife, Marsha) Humphrey of Strawberry Plains, TN, and Darla (husband, Larry) Lee of Strawberry Plains, TN; 36 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Nannie Griffith of Newport, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Humphrey; and a son, Randall Humphrey. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 16, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Brother Don Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
