Alice P. Cox

Alice P. Cox, 92, of Lapel, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at Sugar Fork Crossing in Anderson following an extended illness.

She was born on April 16, 1931, in Danville, Illinois to Paul E. and Jessie M. (Layton) Simpson.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and loved riding motorcycles and horses. She enjoyed going to the lake and their cottage at Beaver Dam.

Alice is survived by her husband, Marvin Keith Cox; five children, Robert (wife, Jayne) Cox of Swayzee, Teresa Cox of Edgewood, Vicky (husband, Jeff) Purdue of Pendleton, Pamela (husband, Brett) Adwell of Kokomo and Mike Cox of Pendleton; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Simpson; and a grandson, Nathan Purdue.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Tad Finch officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the funeral home.
