Alice Louise (Sumpter) Karkosky, 86, was received into the arms of Jesus on November 4, 2017. She was born in Painesville, Ohio on December 18, 1930 to the late Otis and Glovina (Woodlan) Sumpter. Alice was a faithful homemaker who raised four wonderful sons. She loved the Lord, and she was a dedicated prayer warrior. She enjoyed being with her family, painting, traveling, and spending winters with her beloved husband in Florida. Alice and Bill’s devotion to one another is an inspiration to everyone. She will always be his girl, and he will always be her hero. Alice is survived by her husband of 66 years, William D. Karkosky; sons, Rev. Ronald O. (Sandy) Karkosky of Richmond, Richard D. (Pam) Karkosky of Ft. Wayne, William B. Karkosky of Anderson, Scott E. (Fiancee, Darlene) Karkosky of Alexandria; sister Darlene (Howard) Tidd of Anderson; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the special caregivers for their love and support. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St. Anderson, IN 46013. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Amber Karkosky-Litten officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
