Alice Jean Hummer

Alice Jean Hummer, 89, passed away on November 1, 2019. She was born on May 16, 1930 to the late Earl and Orpha (Reff) Smith. Alice was a long time resident of Anderson. She was a wonderful huge hearted mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and great friend to many who loved her very much. She retired from Key Bank in the Mortgage Department. Alice is survived by her grandchildren, Kim (John) Laffoon, Kathy (Tim) Smith, Shelley (Wes) Clamme; 8 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends, including Millie Hall, Francee (Don) Lynch, and Sue Cates. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hummer; daughter, Jan Elaine Baker; great – great granddaughter Vada Smith, and four sisters. Services will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Rick Vale officiating. Burial will be at Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
