Alfred “Al” E. Renicker

Alfred “Al” E. Renicker, 93, of Roanoke, Alabama and formerly of Pendleton, Indiana passed away January 23, 2018.He was born October 6, 1924 in Wabash County, Indiana and resided most of his life in Pendleton before moving to Alabama.Al retired from GM Chevrolet Truck and Bus Plant in Indianapolis as a skilled trades electrician.He was a member of Wayne Guthrie Masonic Lodge No. 753 F.&A.M., Indianapolis; Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis; Murat Shrine Temple, Indianapolis; and Central Indiana Bluegrass Association.Al loved bluegrass music and especially bluegrass gospel music. He served as an emcee and promoter of bluegrass shows and festivals including Bean Blossom, Indiana.Survivors include son, Lynn Jay (wife, Tammie) Renicker of Roanoke, Alabama; daughters, Karen McMillen of Tonopah, Arizona and Margaret Kissane of Alexandria, Indiana; brother, Russell “R.J.” (wife, Marilyn) Renicker of Rossville, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldo M. and Martha (Skiles) Renicker; wife, Florence A. (Filbrun) Renicker; and brothers, Chester Renicker, Dallas Renicker and Lester Renicker.Services at 2 p.m., Monday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastor Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton with graveside services officiated by Elder John Long.Visitation from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday at Lahm Chapel and will include a masonic memorial service at 5:30 p.m.Please omit flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N.
