Albert George Skinner was met at 3:22PM August 25th by his mother Lena Skinner, his father Albert W. Skinner, His sons Albert Wayne and Albert Ray Skinner then escorted to Heaven. He was also greeted by his Brother in-law’s Jack Hall, Phil Huston, Mother in-law Marjorie Welborn, Father in-law’s Robert VanLandingham, RW (Doc) Welborn, Granddaughter Megan Sharp, Great Grandson Albert Peter Tuell, Grandparents, Cousins, and many others waiting to welcome him Home. Albert was born December 28, 1938 in Anderson, IN. He graduated from AHS in 1957 and GMI in Flint MI, with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and later a Masters from Purdue. He retired in 1988 from GM Guide after 30 years. In 1989, he began work as Programmer and Tech Supervisor for Rush Temporaries. He had an understanding and passion for computers and the ability to make it simple. He retired for a second time in 2006. He always had a hobby; built model ships, planes, and cars, photography, collected music from classical to Elvis, all sizes of Eagles, was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He was always involved with all 5 of his children in sports, scouts, slot car racing, raising all types of pets from Tropical Fish, Malamutes, to his blue and gold McCaw “Polly”. He served as deacon and a Sunday school teacher at East Lynn Christian Church. He later migrated back to the church his grandfather Rv. George Skinner started 100 years ago in Jackson Park (Main St. Church of God) He married Phyllis Sue VanLandingham April 13, 1958. Surviving are, his wife of 59 years, children Albert Anthony Skinner (Mary Ann), Gina Skinner (David), SuLynn Ruggles, Daughter’s in-law Avise and Robin Skinner, sister Nancy Hall, Sister in-law Evie Huston, Brother in-law Frank VanLandingham, Grandchildren: Albert Niculaie Skinner (Constance), Albert Jacob Skinner, Jennifer Skinner Tuell (Mitchell), Georgia Skinner Castor (Cory), Albert Jerald Skinner, Misty Skinner Kalisz (Walter), Albert Thomas Skinner, Elizabeth Skinner Elston (Jon), Raelena Skinner (Jacob), Albert Alexander Skinner, Liz Polinsky, Emily Polinsky, SuZi Skinner Hess, Albert Bubba Schweitzer, Albert Jon Dillon Ruggles (Lindsey), Albert Jon Tyler Ruggles, and Maranda Ruggles. Great Grandchildren: Albert Ezekiel, Albert Gabriel, Albert Michael, Noelle, Caroline, Lillian, Mazi Grace, Raven, Albert Nathaniel, Alexis, Madyson, Albert Tanden, Zayven Raymond, Kiyah, Kolton, Lucille, and SuVannah Skye. He was also survived by several Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and many friends. Special Thanks to the support given by several nurses, aides, and cafeteria staff who kept him healthy enough to enjoy the last phase of his life. Services will be held at Brown, Butz, Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St Anderson, IN 46013 on Saturday at 4:00 pm with visitation from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Immediately following the service will be dinner and dancing per ALBERT’S REQUEST at East Lynn Christian Church, 522 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013.
