Adeline (Baka) Smith, 87, Cookeville, TN, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 30, 2015, at home. She was born on April 4, 1928, in Crenshaw, Pennsylvania to John and Anna (Pisarchick) Baka. Adeline retired in 1983 from the former Brookside Corporation in McCordsville after over 30 years of employment. She had also worked at Pugh's Florist in Crossville, TN for several years as well as Cumberland General Store in Clarkrange, TN. She is survived by one daughter, Marlene (Smith) Riddle of Cookeville, TN; two granddaughters, YanLing Riddle of Cookeville, TN, and Nikki (Smith) Navalo of Pendleton; four great-grandchildren, Ava and Lowan Beal, and Isabella and Ayden Navalo all of Pendleton; three sisters, Marion (Baka) Martini, Geri (Baka) Paruso, and Joanne (Baka) Rittenhouse all of Brockway, PA; and two brothers, Eugene Baka of Rosemount, MN and Jim Baka of Painesville, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dale Maurice Smith; a son, Gary Smith; four brothers, John, Bill, Kenny, and Leo Baka; and a sister, Betty (Baka) Cyone. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel at a later date. Adeline was a wonderful woman and she will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Charlene Brown and the Avalon Hospice Staff of Cookeville for the wonderful care they gave her.
