Mr. Abel Jonathan Duane Childers

Abel Jonathan Duane Childers, 39, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019. He was born August 12, 1979, in Merrillville. Abel was a member of Fortville Christian Church. He was an avid music lover, not only did he play many instruments, he loved listening to all types of music. He enjoyed model airplanes, gardening, working outside, participated in Civil War & World War II reenactments. Abel is survived by his wife, Sarah (Rayer) Childers; mother, Christine “Tina” (Fisk) Childers; sisters, Ahnyka Spain & Anna (husband, Wayne) Smith; nieces & nephews, Amanda (husband, Richard) Wayne; Ryan Spain, Hunter James, & Amberlynn Smith; one great nephew, Asher Jack Wayne; and many great Aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack D. Childers; and brother, Andrew “Andy” Childers. A Celebration of Life will be from 5-7 P.M. Saturday, August 10 at Fortville Christian Church, 9450 N. 200 W. Fortville.
