A. P. Stanley Hyde

A. P. Stanley Hyde, 82, of Anderson, passed away, July 7, 2016 at Summer Trace ManorCare in Carmel, IN.

He was born April 9, 1934, in New York, New York to the late Ralston and Clare (Rew) Hyde. He was preceded in death by his sisters Carol Gueffroy and Pamela Montero, and by his cousin, Laura Rew.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth “Betsy” Hyde; children, Heather (Kenneth) Hyde Jennings of Pittsburgh, PA, Bill Hyde of Carmel, IN and Matthew (Nicole) Hyde of Los Angeles, CA; four grandchildren; Conor Mendenhall, Lauren (Justin) Nayder, Lindsey Hyde, and Christina Hyde.

Stan graduated from Purdue University in 1955 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for General Motors Engineering Staff. He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. Stan, Betsy and their family lived in Saginaw and West Bloomfield, MI between 1955 and 1980, and have lived in Anderson, IN since 1980.

Stan attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Anderson, IN. He and his wife supported the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Central Indiana (CASA) which provides services to children in foster care.

Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. William E. Smalley officiating.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
